PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Doctoral Program in Economic Analysis and Business Strategy, regulated by the R.D. 99/2011, gathers researchers of different areas of the Economic and Business fields coming from the Faculty of Economics and Business Science of the University of La Coruña, Santiago de Compostela and Vigo, who carry out quality researches backed up by their publications in internationally renowned scientific magazines.
The aim of the program is to train researchers that are able to accurately manage economic models and empiric data using verified econometric techniques, which allow to face theoretical or practical problems and, then, publish their conclusions on academic magazines, internationally renowned.
The program joins professors with a vast experienced carrying researches in economic and business fields, such as: environmental and natural resources economics; strategic behavior and games theory; industrial and information economics; health and family economics; analysis of economic policies; macroeconomic analysis; quantitative methods; economic and financial analysis; innovation; operations management and human resources; business organization; business strategy; spatial, urban and regional economics; social inequality and gender economics; economic history; commercialization and market research; and finances and organization of touristic businesses.
The researchers involved in the Doctoral Program integrate either reference research groups of the Galician University System or other research groups getting funding in different national or European competitive plans.
The Program continues the Doctoral Program in Economics and Business Science of the University of Vigo (released in the 2013/14 academic year as a modification of the former Doctoral Program in Economics), the Official Doctoral Program in Competitiveness, Innovation and Development: economic and business analysis of the University of La Coruña, and the Doctoral Program in Economics of the University of Santiago de Compostela. In order to protect the rights of the students coming from these programs, the programs have been integrated within the new Interuniversity Program.
